About dronenetwork.org

Come fly with us

Becoming a part of our network allows you to connect with other Central Illinois drone pilots. We are a cooperative of commercial drone pilots who collaborate on fun livestream events for non profit organizations. There are no membership fees or volunteer requirements. We practice and train on select Saturdays at the Commodore Decatur Yacht Club. If you have your Part 107 or are thinking about obtaining your Part 107 certificate, please connect with Brandon at 217-767-7480.

FEATURED DRONEs AND CONTROLLER

DJI RC PRO 2

To livestream a drone feed through a video switcher,  you will need a controller with an HDMI output. The DJI RC Pro 2 is compatible with the Mini 4 Pro, DJI Mavic 4 Pro, DJI Air 3, and DJI Air 3S. This controller is also has Dynamic Home Point which is highly recommended when operating from a moving vehicle or boat.

We love the Mini 4 Pro drone because of its portability.  For some projects we bring 8 batteries per drone and the traveling kit becomes substantially larger (and more expensive) for seemingly slightly larger drones such as the Air 3S and Mavic Series drones. Our kits also have foam cutouts for your mini drone and batteries so we can consolidate cases, which matters on remote projects when flying from crowded launch boats.

MINI 5 PRO

The Mini 5 Pro adds a 1-inch sensor, more battery life, better advertised smart follow capabilities. It also performs much better in higher winds. It also adds the ability to consolidate battery power from several partially charged batteries into one battery with the press of a button on the new charging hub.
